The Sunday Summary #4
February 01, 2016
So the last week of January is over and the saying "the day's are long but the year's are short" has never felt more true. How can one month of 2016 be over already?
This week we tried some more vegetarian recipes, a particular success was the butternut squash risotto. A finished The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin, an enjoyable thought provoking read (there's a review in a nutshell) and before reading the sequel Better than Before is having a break reading Josephine Cox's The Runaway Woman, a newly discovered author from Graham Norton's Radio 2 Show. Meanwhile L had an impromptu afternoon KonMari-ing her clothes, after trying to find a body brush and winding up with all her stuff out. A successful venture it turned out as we now have two more bags of items that no longer 'spark joy' to pass on.
Other than that there were more trips to the tip (seriously wishing we had started a running tally as it feels like we've been over a hundred times already), clearing up (linens were on the chopping block this week), DIYing and sorting stationery.
Monty's our Sprocker has also been busy posing for illustrations, one of his finer head shots... although he does get bored quickly and when he's not doing that? You can find him in his banana box dreaming about chasing squirrels and birds.
A's Highlight - Creating watercolour sketches of our dog Monty... look out for those in the next few days.
Have a lovely first week of February x
