The Sunday Summary #6

February 14, 2016

I made a GIF!! Well L helped, telling me which keys to press. It took almost as long to scan in and Photoshop the series of watercolours as it did to draw and paint them. I have a new appreciation of how much time goes into animation.
Monty only has to hear the keys in the lock and he is at the door. What a welcome home he gives every single time! We finally wore him out one morning this week with an extra long walk through woods. He had to hunt and search for his ball in the undergrowth and bushes. Clearly this uses more brain power and is more exhausting than just retrieving as he spent the rest of the day in his bed! Man can he snore!

Yesterday we made a trip to B&Q armed with diagrams for cutting the MDF (for L's wardrobe/cupboard). The MDF comes in large sheets and in order to maximise ever square millimetre I had drawn out a plan for each piece. The man cutting was really helpful; as he handed over the cut pieces I wrote the measurements and description on them. This is going to make the construction much easier.

After B&Q we went to ScrewFix for the screws and brackets, plus plaster paint. The plaster paint is brilliant and feels like a real find. No need to thin down with water and do lots of coats on newly plastered walls. Simply paint it on! It has saved loads of time.

A busy week and now we are all set for construction next week - fingers crossed it goes according to plan!

L's highlight this week: the frosty woodland walk.
A's highlight this week: a very relaxing, but man could I feel the muscles working, yoga practise.

It is February 14th today - hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day.
